Information about ICENZ

The Institute of Commercial Education New Zealand (ICENZ) is a unique educational organization located in Highland Park, Auckland, which has catered to both local and international students study requirements since 1998. Since its inception, ICENZ has provided academic and professional support to local and migrant students by offering quality educational courses taught be skilled tutors, a variety of successful bridging programmes, academic coaching, and language support.

By offering the New Zealand Diploma in Business (NZDipBus), the NZIM Diploma in Management, IELTS preparation courses, internship training, tertiary pathways consultation, and application support we are committed to make studying in New Zealand a valuable and rewarding experience for all of our students.

ICENZ serves as an educational gateway to students from all over the world. Through our high standards for academic excellence, promotion of increased cultural exchange, and by building stronger international relationships we are increasing the reputation of New Zealand’s education and affiliated services, and we hope to instil confidence in New Zealand as a viable study destination.

 

PLEASE NOTE

The outcome of the NZQA External Evaluation and Review, conducted on 2 June 2014 and published on 1 July 2015 resulted in the following statements of confidence:

Not Yet Confident in educational performance

Not Yet Confident in capability in self-assessment

This means that ICENZ is now classified as a Category 3 provider, in accordance with seciion 11.1(c) of the External Evaluation and Review  (EER) Rules 2013.

Effective immediately:

  1. ICENZ must develop a Quality Improvement Plan to outline how we intend to make improvements that  will result in achieving levels with at least Confident, and submit it to NZQA by 31 August 2015.
  2. At ICENZ’s next EER should the resulting judgements not be Confident or better NZQA will consider what other intervention may be necessary.
  3. Under rule 5.1.4(b) of the PTE Registration Rules 2013, ICENZ must inform all students of it’s EER Category and it’s statements of confidence.
  4. NZQA has outstanding concerns over ICENZ’s provision of the NZDipBus. Under rule 14.2 of the EER NZQA will not grant any new approvals until further notice.

 

A NZQA monitors visit was conducted on 26 August 2015 to assess ICENZ’s compliance with statutory obligations.
