The outcome of the NZQA External Evaluation and Review, conducted on 2 June 2014 and published on 1 July 2015 resulted in the following statements of confidence:

Not Yet Confident in educational performance

Not Yet Confident in capability in self-assessment

This means that ICENZ is now classified as a Category 3 provider, in accordance with seciion 11.1(c) of the External Evaluation and Review  (EER) Rules 2013.

Effective immediately:

  1. ICENZ must develop a Quality Improvement Plan to outline how we intend to make improvements that  will result in achieving levels with at least Confident, and submit it to NZQA by 31 August 2015.
  2. At ICENZ’s next EER should the resulting judgements not be Confident or better NZQA will consider what other intervention may be necessary.
  3. Under rule 5.1.4(b) of the PTE Registration Rules 2013, ICENZ must inform all students of it’s EER Category and it’s statements of confidence.
  4. NZQA has outstanding concerns over ICENZ’s provision of the NZDipBus. Under rule 14.2 of the EER NZQA will not grant any new approvals until further notice.

A NZQA monitors visit was conducted on 26 August 2015 to assess ICENZ’s compliance with statutory obligations.
