Mr. Wayne Huang 校长

Wayne Huang, who earned his MCom from The University of Auckland, is Founder and Principal of the Sailing NZ Studio, a subsidiary of the Institute of Commercial Education NZ Ltd. He is a business advisor to ATEED, and became the first Asian Rear Commodore at Bucklands Beach Yacht Club (BBYC) in 2019 (re-elected in July 2020). The BBYC is the second largest yacht club in New Zealand. Wayne has also served as Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in NZ for last sixteen years.
He is also a former Auckland Council Local Board member where he chaired the Economic and Ethnic Affairs Committees in East Auckland. In 2011 he was selected as one of South China’s Top 10 Overseas Chinese by Guangdong Province. In performing these roles Wayne has built an extensive network of business relationships between China and New Zealand and has become well-known for his ability to build and manage meaningful international and cross-cultural relationships. In doing so over the last twenty years he has made a significant contribution towards ensuring that New Zealand is an international destination for investment, education and business. Eliminating ethnic barriers and facilitating integration is a motivation for Wayne.
