Studying at ICENZ

Students at the Institute  of Commercial Education (NZ) enjoy our academically focused and culturally diverse environment, which helps them develop intellectually, emotionally and socially. We understand that all of our students have different goals and needs, so we offer classes that are taught by highly qualified lecturers and host a variety of guest speakers to help broaden their learning experience. We also provide a variety of bilingual tutors, in addition to our Native English speaking staff, to better accommodate the needs of our international students.

Many students have academic goals and plan to go on to university in New Zealand or overseas. Other students come to Institute of Commercial Education for short duration, keen to experience a different lifestyle, improve their English and make new friends.

No matter what goals students have, living overseas helps them to become more independent and open-minded, ready for their life ahead. We provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment in which students can reach their true potential.

Location & Lifestyle

East Auckland

The Institute of Commercial Education is conveniently located in the peaceful East Auckland suburb of Highland Park. Our school is located just a few steps away from the Highland Park Shopping Centre, the Highland Park Library, easy access to Auckland Transport, and only a short walk to the Lloyd Elsmore Park Pool & Leisure Centre.

Broadly speaking, East Auckland is the urban area stretching east from the Auckland suburb of Mount Wellington and includes the suburbs of Botany, Bucklands Beach, Dannemora, Farm Cove, Half Moon Bay, Highland Park, Howick, and Pakuranga, as well as the more rural townships of Beachlands, Clevedon, Maraetai, and Whitford. These East Auckland communities are well respected, and are highly regarded for their friendliness and large multi-cultural population. It is due to this friendly and ethnic rich environment that allows our students to make connections outside of the classroom and to quickly integrate into the community. It has also been noted that living in these communities has enabled our students to save money by having access to more affordable accommodations that provide a better value than living in the Auckland Central Business District.

For those students who want to experience the energy and vibrancy of living in Auckland, the largest and most ethnically diverse urban area in New Zealand, the Institute of Commercial Education is only a 30 minute commute from the Auckland Central Business District.
